Q-Is PC safe after installing Metasploit in Windows 10?

What is metasploit?

Metasploit is a widely used penetration testing tool that makes hacking very easy.It has become an indispensable tool for both red team and blue team.

Installation: linux recommended

Metasploit Framework can be easily installed on a Windows 10 or any windows based operating system. However, Windows is usually not the perfect platform for deploying Metasploit Framework, the reason is that many of the supporting tools and utilities of metasploit are not available for Windows platform. Hence it's strongly recommended to install the Metasploit Framework on Linux platform.

Another perfect solution is to dual boot your LAPTOP or PC and then install metasploit on Linux.

The main purpose of installing metasploit in windows 10 maybe because of hacking or education purpose but if you are not able to perform a certain task in it as we now know that many of the supporting tools and utilities of metasploit are not working in windows 10, so it looks useless to install metasploit on windows 10.

Safe or Unsafe:

If you're going to install metasploit on linux then you can safely run its tools and utilities without facing any error also by doing this your windows 10 is safe from any of its tools that cause havoc issues by producing its malwares.

If you are not feel good to dual boot your pc or laptop ,here is an another option and that is a virtual box.

What is a virtual box?

Oracle virtualbox is a software which allow users to run multiple operating system in a single machine(pc or laptop) to freely switch between windows 10 and your any Os simultaneously at the same time. It can create and manage guest virtual machine with a guest operating system and its own virtual environment.
